Our bodies and minds are constantly changing. There is no one-size-fits-all yoga practice, and something you could do yesterday will not always work today. In this Foundations workshop, learn how to interpret āsana to suit our ever-changing physical and mental states. Build postures from the ground up, understand the functional mobility of your own body, and utilize props to bring ease and stability to every āsana. Even so-called “advanced” postures can be made accessible to anyone with the correct knowledge and tools!
This workshop is designed for anyone who has a body. It aims to help you understand your body and tendencies so you can use that information to better inform your practice.
Bring a mat, water, and a note-taking method (if that’s your jam). The workshop will begin with a lecture and demonstrations, followed by a haṭha practice to explore what we learn.
